Pagan Prayer Beads

Timing:   Make at either a Full or New Moon, or on a Monday, or when the 

planetary hour is in the Moon, or when the Moon is in Aries. 

Materials:

1 one-and-a-half to two yard long piece of raw hide, choose the colour carefully. 

1 bead for every year of life 

1 bead for the next year of life 

1 unusual bead to represent the Goddess 

1 unusual bead to represent the God 

1 unusual bead for protection 

1 unusual bead for health 

1 unusual bead for joy 

1 unusual bead for dreaming 

1 unusual bead for wealth 

1 unusual bead to represent the following should they apply: 

Marriage  

Levels of initiation 

Number of children 

1 Lodestone 

1 bead for anything else you wish to add 

A pouch to keep them in 

Steps:

Cast the circle and invoke the higher powers. 

Cleanse and onsecrate all beads, the rawhide, the pouch, and the lodestone. 

Beginning with the year beads, fill the beads with loving energy. String one bead, 

make a knot, and continue until all the year beads have been strung. 

Empower the remaining beads according to their purpose, then string them as 

you did the year beads. 

Empower the lodestone to draw positive energy. Attatch the lodestone to the end 

of the string. 

Offer the tool to a guardian deity, then place the completed string inside the 

pouch. 

Thank the higher powers and close the circle.
